Role Overview
The Senior Communications Manager, China will develop and implement communications strategy and programs to protect and promote the Bank’s brand and business strategy in China. The role will focus on building the bank’s profile and visibility in areas relating to Corporate & Investment Banking, Branding initiatives, and Corporate Social Responsibilities. The manager will work closely with media monitoring agencies and stakeholders to ensure adherence to laws and regulations and the Group Code of Conduct.
What You Will Do
The Senior Communications Manager, China will develop and implement strategic communications plans and roadmaps, focusing on the Bank’s strategy and business priorities. The manager will develop press releases, executive speeches, Op-Ed, WeChat articles, and LinkedIn posts for corporate and business communications related programs. The manager will also arrange media interviews on a proactive basis for major business developments/milestones and the Bank’s focus areas.

The Senior Communications Manager, China will play a key role in reputational risk management for the Bank and work as a key contact window for China East Region. The manager will ensure adherence to the Risk Management Framework, Group Code of Conduct, and various Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines of the Bank by the Group and China CABM teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of communications experience, preferably with experience related to the financial services industry
- Proven communications expertise, with the ability to develop and execute integrated communications strategies across earned, owned, and paid media channels
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills in both Chinese and English
- Sound judgment and experience in issues and reputational risk management
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across businesses and functions
