Role Overview

The Head of Consumer Growth will lead the go-to-market strategy, commercial growth plan, and acquisition engine for SumUp’s consumer product. They will build the consumer growth function from its current early stage, bringing together performance marketing, direct-to-consumer acquisition, merchant-led distribution, CRM, creative, and content.

What You Will Do

The Head of Consumer Growth will own the go-to-market strategy and growth plan for SumUp’s consumer product across six European markets, build and lead a multidisciplinary consumer growth team, develop a balanced acquisition model, and take commercial ownership of growth investment.

Requirements

  • A strong track record of leading full-funnel growth for a consumer fintech, neobank, financial services product, or high-growth consumer app
  • Experience scaling a consumer proposition across multiple markets and through a comparable stage of growth
  • Deep expertise in acquisition strategy, channel mix, attribution, customer acquisition cost, lifecycle growth, and unit economics
  • Experience building and leading multidisciplinary growth teams while remaining comfortable operating hands-on
  • Strong commercial judgement and a track record of making effective investment decisions under uncertainty
  • The ability to work across Product, Brand, Analytics, Communications, and local market teams within a complex organisation
  • A rigorous experimentation mindset and the ability to operate quickly and pragmatically in an early-stage environment
  • Familiarity with financial services marketing regulations and the judgement to work within them without losing creativity or pace
