Role Overview
Join SLC Management’s Toronto-based team as a Director/Senior Director, FP&A in a highly visible role that extends well beyond traditional financial planning and analysis. In addition to leading management reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning, you will support investor relations, financial modeling, business analytics, and corporate strategy across a global alternatives platform.
What You Will Do
Management reporting — Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting packages, including AUM and fee-earning AUM roll-forwards, fee-related earnings, management and performance fee revenue, expenses, margin, and headcount, with clear commentary on drivers, trends, and variances to plan. Planning and forecasting — Own key components of the annual budget, multi-year business plan, and rolling forecast process across business units and corporate functions; partner with business leaders to build, challenge, and validate assumptions.

Requirements

- Excel and PowerPoint mastery – strong command of Excel is essential, along with the ability to build clean, compelling, executive-ready PowerPoint materials that communicate a clear story
- Generative AI fluency and curiosity – hands-on experience applying generative AI to finance or analytical work, or clear aptitude and enthusiasm to adopt it rigorously; understands both the leverage these tools create and the need to validate outputs
- Analytical rigour – structured, data-driven problem solver who can move from raw data to a defensible recommendation
- Executive communication – distills complexity into clear, concise narratives and presentations for senior leadership, Board, and investor audiences
