Inside Sales Consultant

Role Overview

The holder of this position provides essential support to the sector by covering holidays, participating in various tasks, and preparing for a full-time assignment within six months following training or integration. The candidate will work in close collaboration with the sector manager (CS), assuming the responsibilities assigned to them while acquiring practical experience through training and replacing positions as needed.

What You Will Do

State and demonstrate the value proposition of Sysco to integrate and attract new customers to Sysco’s products, services, and promotions. Increase the client portfolio share and improve sales composition.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The holder of this position is responsible for managing client accounts to promote Sysco’s products and services. Accounts primarily use e-commerce for orders. The holders of this position commit to providing exceptional customer service by phone, email, virtual communication platforms, and in person (on request).

Requirements

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Sales experience or equivalent in the foodservice industry is an asset, but not required
• Customer service experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and strong organizational skills
• Superior (oral and written) communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and e-commerce concepts
• Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle required. Local travel required
