Social Media Marketing Specialist – Enrollment Communications

Role Overview

The Social Media Marketing Specialist will coordinate the departmental strategic communications plan and assist in developing prospective student communication across all communication mediums. The role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent presentation, writing, and editing skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include managing social media content calendars, developing and implementing social media platform strategies, creating and executing multimedia projects, and assisting in division print projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Two years of related experience in e-marketing/web communications and e-marketing campaigns that use pay-per-click and electronic newsletters
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent presentation, writing, and editing skills
• Ability to balance multiple, simultaneous priorities while meeting deadlines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment
• In-depth understanding of the digital and social media marketing and communications landscape
• Experience in project management
• More than two years of experience in copy-editing, managing web content, and creating communication for various media (text, website, social media, etc.)
• Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure
