People Operations Generalist

Role Overview

As our People Operations Generalist, you’ll be the first person employees and managers turn to for guidance, handling sensitive situations fairly and building programs that keep us consistent as we grow.

What You Will Do

You’ll be the day-to-day People partner for employees and managers across departments, owning employee relations from intake to resolution, and partnering with People Leadership to run investigations into allegations of harassment, discrimination, and more.

We’re looking for someone with 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, including time in a generalist role, and a working knowledge of employment law. You’ll champion TaxRise’s values in every interaction and help teams adapt with clarity as we grow.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including time in a generalist role
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with employee relations, leave and accommodations, and workplace investigations
• Working knowledge of employment law, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII and state and local requirements
• Sound judgment, clear writing and the discretion to handle sensitive matters, including knowing when to escalate
• Comfort coaching managers at every level and holding a firm, fair line
