End to End Communications Systems Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled End to End Communications Systems Engineer to work at ESTEC in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will maintain and develop simulation and analysis tools, design and implement new simulation capabilities, and support international standardization activities.

What You Will Do

Maintain and develop simulation and analysis tools, design and implement new simulation capabilities, support international standardization activities, perform dedicated simulations and analyses, and prepare technical reports and presentations.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, proven experience in simulation and analysis, strong programming skills, and experience with software development and verification.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in simulation, modelling, and analysis of complex systems
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, MATLAB, or similar
• Experience with software development, verification, validation, and configuration management
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles and analytical methodologies
• Familiarity with space mission analysis, spacecraft operations, or communication systems
• Knowledge of CCSDS standards and/or participation in standardization activities is considered an asset
