Role Overview
The Data Analyst III-IV will work in the Department of Analytics and Evaluation in the Information Innovation & Insight (I|3) division, using data analysis and research to improve services for Texas employers, individuals, families, and communities. The role involves working under limited supervision with broad latitude for initiative, creativity, and independent judgment.
What You Will Do
The Data Analyst III-IV will perform data analysis and research work, including developing and implementing databases, statistical modeling, and data analytics techniques, contributing to experimental or quasi-experimental studies, and presenting data to technical and non-technical audiences.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or R, training and/or experience in applying descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data science, business analytics, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
- Two years of full-time experience in data science, business analytics, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field (Data Analyst III)
- Three years of full-time experience in data science, business analytics, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field (Data Analyst IV)
