Financial Operations Analyst

Role Overview

TransGrid Energy is seeking a Financial Operations Analyst to support the management of assets within the company’s portfolio. This hybrid role is primarily focused on financial, accounting, and analytical work, with a large focus on CAISO and other market participation and asset operations support.

What You Will Do

Prepare and deliver recurring financial, operational, and performance reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders, analyze project performance, operating costs, and key operational metrics, and develop, enhance, and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, asset management, or power plant or energy market operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and building models and reporting processes from scratch.
• Experience preparing financial reports and analyses for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of P&L, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Working knowledge of CAISO markets, including day-ahead and real-time markets, ancillary services, and settlements.
• Knowledge of utility-scale battery and solar technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
