Role Overview

The Fiscal Shared Services Analyst is a compliance-focused subject matter expert within the UW School of Medicine (SoM) Integrated Resources, Financial Operations team. Analysts ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial and administrative transactions for multiple departments across the SoM.

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include compliance review, transaction processing, and policy interpretation (70%), process improvement and quality assurance (20%), and training and knowledge sharing (10%).

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two years of work experience providing customer service in a HR, payroll, procurement and/or finance business unit
  • Experience with University of Washington financial systems, policies, and procedures
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain compliance requirements to non-experts
