Remote Full TimeBucharest, Romania (Remote)Veeam Software

Role Overview

Join our internal Data Management team as an Analytics Engineer, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data marts, pipelines, and data processes. This role requires a blend of strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and an ability to understand and communicate technical solutions with business partners.

What You Will Do

Design, implement, and maintain scalable data marts and ETL/ELT processes using SQL or Python, transform raw data from multiple sources into structured datasets for analysis and reporting, and build and orchestrate pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer with 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI engineering, advanced SQL skills, and experience building data processes on a cloud platform.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI engineering
  • Advanced SQL, including window functions, CTEs, complex joins, and query performance tuning
  • Python for data pipeline work (PySpark or pandas)
  • Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and slowly changing dimensions (SCD Type 2)
  • Experience building data processes on a cloud platform (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP considered)
  • Experience running pipelines in production: scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting failures, not just building them
  • Experience delivering datasets for recurring business reporting where accuracy and deadlines matter
  • Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluent English both spoken/written
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Benefits

  • 21 annual vacation days, additional days based on tenure, plus 4 extra global VeeaMe Days for self-care and 24 paid volunteer hours annually through Veeam Cares
  • Private health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents
  • Monthly lifestyle and daily meal benefits
  • Life insurance (2× annual gross salary), critical illness, and disability coverage, plus vision reimbursement
  • Free access to Bookster library platform for borrowing your favorite books for free
  • Opportunities to learn and grow through on-demand libraries (LinkedIn Learning, O’Reilly), mentoring, workshops and learning events like our annual Global Day of Learning
