Data Analyst

Role Overview

The Data Analyst will be responsible for owning the analytic function for GTMS business and performance metrics, both periodic and ad hoc. The team works to support Go to Market Services (GTMS) teams by building consolidated, strategic and scalable operational and analytics infrastructure for Visa core products, value added services, and internal processes.

What You Will Do

The Analyst will be responsible for owning the analytic function for GTMS business and performance metrics, both periodic and ad hoc. Specific activities may include: becoming the subject expert on all things related to GTMS business reporting, owning data and processes for daily, monthly, and quarterly executive reporting suites, and creating and maintaining performance and monitoring dashboards around internal GTMS business metrics.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 1 year of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
• Expert proficiency in data visualization including Tableau, Power BI, and PowerPoint
• Big Data skills including SQL and ETL experience
• Functional knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, and/or Shell Scripting to support automation and data cleansing
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP/CRM tools
• Proficiency manipulating data from a variety of sources – Big data skills (Hadoop, Hive, Spark) and/or SQL skills required
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to summarize complex topics into easy to understand pieces
• Proficient in all MS Office applications
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Ability to interact and manage stakeholders globally and across time-zones
