Aftermarket Service Sales Manager (Equipment)

Our client, a reputable engineering player, is seeking an experienced sales professional to drive business growth and expand service offerings across key customer accounts. This role will focus on business development, client relationship management, sales strategy execution, and business expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and support long-term business growth objectives.
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities while managing the full sales cycle from prospecting and proposal preparation to contract closure.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through active business development, client engagement, and opportunity management.
  • Foster and strengthen long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers by understanding their business needs and offering suitable service solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal commercial and proposal teams to prepare competitive quotations, tenders, and business proposals.
  • Conduct regular market analysis, competitor reviews, and customer assessments to identify trends, business opportunities, and areas for strategic improvement.
  • Provide periodic sales forecasts, pipeline updates, business strategy reviews, and progress reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to ensure smooth handover, service delivery, and operational support for customers.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, internal workflow enhancements, and compliance or audit-related activities where required.
  • Coordinate with customers and vendors to ensure timely documentation, order processing, invoicing, and payment collection activities.
  • Participate in strategic business discussions relating to service enhancement, customer growth, and market expansion plans.
  • Review business performance, conduct win/loss analysis, and provide recommendations to improve commercial effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Support marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and other business development activities to strengthen market presence and brand visibility.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or other relevant disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales management, account management, or commercial functions within a B2B or technical services environment.
  • Proven ability to develop client relationships, identify business opportunities, and successfully manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in proposal preparation, tender management, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external customers.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret market trends, assess business opportunities, and recommend growth strategies.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven individual with strong initiative, ownership, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior exposure to project coordination, operational support, or service delivery environments will be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional setup, collaborating with commercial, operations, finance, and project teams to drive business outcomes.
