Job Summary
The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with our strategic customers. This role focuses on maximizing sales opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving market share growth within assigned key accounts.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for assigned key accounts, aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned accounts.
- Negotiate and manage complex contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements.
- Proactively identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions utilizing BD’s product portfolio.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., marketing, technical support, supply chain) to ensure seamless customer experience and service delivery.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback to inform account strategies.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts in the CRM system.
- Provide regular reports on account performance, market opportunities, and challenges to management.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in key account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as required.
