Asst Manager/ Manager Marketing & Communications

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager / Manager, Marketing & Communications is responsible forthe institution’s day-to-day marketing, communications, student recruitment support, educationagent engagement and website operations.

The position manages communications with education agents, coordinates recruitmentand marketing campaigns, develops bilingual marketing content, and maintainsthe institution’s website and promotional materials across online and offline channels.

A key responsibility is to ensure that marketing, advertising, recruitment and website communications are accurate, current and compliant with applicable Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA) requirements, EduTrust Guidance Document 4 (GD4), PEI marketing and advertising requirements, and the institution’sinternal policies and approval processes.

The role requires strong proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, as the position involves developing and reviewing content in both languages and regular communication with English- and Chinese-speaking education agents, prospective students and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1.Agent Management & Engagement

  • Manage day-to-day communications and relationships with local and overseas education agents and recruitment partners.
  • Coordinate agent onboarding, documentation, training and ongoing engagement.
  • Ensure agents receive accurate and current information on programmes, entry requirements, fees, institutional information and recruitment procedures.
  • Conduct briefings and updates for agents on programmes, marketing requirements and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Review agent-generate or distributed promotional content to ensure consistency with approved institutional information and applicable requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready records of agent communications, training, documentation and marketing materials.
  • Support management in developing and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective recruitment partners.

2.Campaign, Recruitment & Marketing Compliance

Plan and coordinate student recruitment campaigns, marketing initiatives, promotional activities, recruitment events and outreach programmes.

  • Coordinate campaign execution, monitoring, follow-up and reporting across relevant marketing channels.
  • Review marketing, advertising and recruitment materials for factual accuracy, completeness and compliance with applicable regulatory and institutional requirements prior to approval and/or publication.
  • Review claims relating to programmes, university partners, accreditation/certification, graduate outcomes, employment prospects and other institutional information to ensure they are appropriately substantiated, accurately presented and not misleading.
  • Maintain appropriate records of advertisements, campaign materials, approvals and revisions for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Keep abreast of changes to SWDA, EduTrust GD4 and applicable PEI marketing and advertising requirements, and implement necessary updates to marketing practices.
  • Identify and promptly escalate potentially inaccurate, misleading or non-compliant marketing or recruitment content to management before publication or distribution.

3.Marketing, Website & Content Operations

  • Design and maintain the institution’s website through its Content Management System (CMS), including creating and updating webpages, landing pages, programme information, fees, admissions information, images, banners and other content.
  • Ensure website content is accurate, current and aligned with applicable SWDA, EduTrust GD4, PEI marketing/advertising and internal approval requirements.
  • Conduct regular website reviews and coordinate the correction or removal of outdated, inaccurate or potentially non-compliant information.
  • Monitor website functionality and coordinate with external developers or vendors for complex technical development or troubleshooting where required.
  • Apply basic SEO and web analytics practices to improve website visibility, user experience and recruitment effectiveness.
  • Develop, edit, translate and proofread institutional and programme-related marketing content in English and Chinese across websites, digital platforms and other communication channels.
  • Design and produce digital and print marketing materials, including brochures, advertisements, social media content, presentations, website graphics, banners and recruitment collateral.
  • Maintain proper version control, approval records and archives of website content, marketing assets and published materials.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, Public Relations or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in marketing, communications, student recruitment or education-agent management; experience within Singapore’s Private Education sector is strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese is required, as the role involves independently developing, editing, translating and proofreading marketing and website content in both languages and communicating regularly with English- and Chinese-speaking education agents, prospective students and stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience managing and maintaining websites using a Content Management System (CMS) such as WordPress or equivalent, including webpage creation, content updates and basic website administration.
  • Ability to independently design and produce digital and print marketing materials, website graphics, social media content and other recruitment collateral using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or equivalent tools.
  • Good understanding of digital marketing, social media and content management. Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, responsive web design, SEO and web analytics would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Singapore’s PEI regulatory environment, including EduTrust GD4, applicable SWDA requirements and PEI marketing/advertising requirements, is preferred. The candidate must be able to understand, apply and keep abreast of requirements relevant to marketing, recruitment communications and website content.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review marketing, website and recruitment materials for factual accuracy, consistency and potential compliance issues.
  • Strong organisational, stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, content updates and deadlines independently.
  • Able to follow institutional approval processes and appropriately escalate matters requiring management or regulatory clarification.
