About the Role
Our client – a Software Development company, is looking for a
Marketing Manager
to partner closely with Sales and drive pipeline growth across the
Mining, Oil & Gas, and Energy (Utilities)
sectors. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own campaign execution, leverage data to make strategic decisions, and directly influence revenue generation.
What You’ll Do
Drive pipeline activation in Mining and O&G (primary focus) Partner directly with global sales leads across Mining, Oil & Gas, and Energy (Utilities) to build account-level campaign programmes — account research, outbound sequence support, content amplification, event coordination, and HubSpot execution tied to named accounts.
What You’ll Bring
5+ years in B2B marketing , with experience in enterprise deal sizes above $100K, sales cycles of 6+ months, and multi-stakeholder buying committees. Backgrounds rooted in SaaS growth marketing or consumer-adjacent roles are not the right fit here.
Hands-on HubSpot proficiency
— you can build lists, set up sequences, create campaigns, configure tracking, and pull attribution reports independently, without relying on a MarTech specialist for core campaign infrastructure.
AI-first working habits
— daily (not occasional) use of AI tools, strong prompting skills, and the ability to integrate AI into research and campaign workflows within a governed system. Comfort with structured AI tooling, agent-assisted workflows, and Notion-based operating systems is essential.
Commercial instinct
— you read pipeline data and draw conclusions, understand why deals stall, and know what marketing can do about it. You’re a strategic partner to sales, not a channel executor waiting for a brief.
Nice to have:
Experience in Energy, Utilities, Oil & Gas, or Mining — not required, but useful given the learning curve involved in selling into regulated, asset-intensive infrastructure operators.
Real ABM experience — building target account lists, running multi-touch campaigns against named accounts, tracking account-level engagement, and feeding intelligence back to sales.
A track record in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments, where prioritization and judgment calls matter more than working through a fully staffed campaign team.
Organic and content channel experience — building SEO and content programmes that compound over time, alongside paid activation. Experience running webinars and user groups as pipeline channels, including in industries where public case studies are limited by commercial or regulatory sensitivity (e.g. defence, mining, critical infrastructure).
If you’re passionate about building marketing programmes that directly impact revenue and enjoy collaborating with commercial teams, we’d love to hear from you.
