About the company
A Series A fintech in New York building the risk and intelligence layer for bank payments. Its platform verifies account ownership, checks payment history and scores risk before money moves. Thousands of businesses already use it.
Customers are payment platforms, PSPs, software companies, lenders and fintechs. The product team is shipping fast, with a new changelog, a growing customer success team and new verticals to go after.
The role
This is the first product marketing hire. You’ll own how the company talks about its product, from the technical detail to the business outcome.
You’ll report to the Head of Marketing and own marketing’s relationship with Product. You’ll work closely with product ops, demand generation, sales and a future partnerships hire. This is a strategic operator role: you set the narrative and then make it real across the website, sales and customers.
What you’ll own
- Positioning and messaging for every product, from technical depth to business outcome, kept consistent across every channel.
- Product pages and vertical narratives on the website. Define how the company speaks to each target vertical.
- Launches. Turn what Product ships into blog posts, changelog entries and a product newsletter.
- Sales enablement. Build pitch materials, run enablement sessions and keep sales current.
- Competitive intelligence. Track competitors and build battle cards sales actually use.
- Customer insight. Run customer and prospect interviews and user research, and feed what you learn back to Product.
- Case studies that prove value to new buyers.
- ICP and personas, kept current with demand generation.
- Partner marketing, over time: how complementary partner products are positioned.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in product marketing for a B2B product, owning positioning and messaging end to end.
- Experience in sales enablement and competitive intelligence: you’ve built battle cards, run training sessions and seen win rates move.
- Comfortable facing customers. You enjoy talking to prospects and customers and turning what they say into messaging.
- Grounding in fintech, payments or financial infrastructure. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you know the space.
- A background outside product marketing helps, such as content marketing, sales, solutions or customer success. You bring creativity and an outside-in view.
- Strong writing. You’ll own a lot of copy even with a content partner.
- Able to work from the NYC office four days a week.
Nice to have
- Startup experience: you’ve built product marketing from scratch or as an early hire.
- Experience with risk, fraud, identity or ACH payment products.
- Experience with partner or ecosystem marketing.
- Website and CMS skills (e.g. Webflow).
Why join
- Own the narrative. As the first product marketer, you’ll define how a new category is explained to the market.
- Close to the product. You’ll work directly with the Head of Product and product ops as the roadmap grows.
- Upside. A team bonus pool from 2027 and equity grants on half-year and full-year performance cycles.
- Culture. A competitive but fun team that wants to be in the office. Lunch on Thursdays, a stocked office, health and dental insurance.
