Director of Demand Generation – B2B Marketing Technology SaaS
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid) – On-site three days per week
About the Company:
The client is a high-growth, venture-backed technology company whose AI-powered platform helps brands understand how well their marketing and messaging are working. The team is small and moves quickly. Leadership brings deep experience across data science, technology, and media. Customers include large consumer brands, prominent technology companies, academic researchers, and mission-driven organizations.
The work here has real-world impact. The company’s technology is changing how influential organizations and large enterprises make decisions about what they say and how they say it, and it helps brands grow responsibly.
About The Role:
The company is hiring a Head of Demand Generation and Marketing Operations: a sharp, quick-study leader who will build a repeatable engine for generating, capturing, and converting strong pipeline from best-fit accounts. In close collaboration with Sales and Revenue Operations, you’ll architect the entire inbound operation, covering campaigns, the HubSpot environment, account-based marketing, email, and funnel analytics. You’ll also be expected to track what’s new in AI and put it to work, sharpening targeting, execution, measurement, and overall team output.
This is a ground-floor role with a lot of ownership. It suits someone who has stood up a demand gen function before, likes being hands-on in the systems, and knows how to bring order, keep pace, and connect every initiative to pipeline. You’ll report to the Chief Marketing Officer.
What You’ll Do:
- Build pipeline: Plan and run integrated campaigns across email, content, paid media, events, and ABM that generate qualified inbound opportunities tied to revenue goals.
- Rethink the work with AI: Keep up with emerging AI capabilities and keep reinventing how demand gen and marketing ops are done. Use AI to improve targeting, campaign delivery, content, reporting, attribution, forecasting, and internal processes so the team can scale personalization, move faster, and produce more pipeline with less manual work.
- Run HubSpot: Set up and manage lead routing, scoring models, nurture flows, sequences, and attribution reports.
- Own email: Lead the entire email program, including segmentation, send cadence, deliverability, testing, and ongoing optimization.
- Shape the inbound motion: Work with Revenue Operations to map the full inbound journey from first interaction to sales handoff, with defined stages, routing rules, and service-level agreements.
- Lead ABM: Create account-based programs for key segments, partnering with Sales on target account lists, tailored outreach, and coordinated multi-channel plays.
- Improve web and SEO: Collaborate with web resources to strengthen landing page results and organic traffic, and own the site’s conversion strategy.
- Measure the funnel: Instrument every stage of the funnel, set the definitions for marketing-sourced pipeline, and produce the reporting.
- Manage the martech stack: Own and refine the marketing tool set, assess new tools and vendors, and oversee outside lead gen agencies and contractors.
- Refine the ICP: Work with Sales and Revenue Operations to develop and sharpen ideal customer profiles, pulling together firmographic, behavioral, and intent data to guide targeting, reporting, and strategy.
Who You Are:
- You bring 7 to 10+ years in demand generation, marketing operations, growth, or performance marketing.
- You’ve built pipeline-driven programs with a proven impact on revenue, not just on lead counts.
- You know HubSpot deeply, including automation, workflows, sequences, scoring, lifecycle stages, and attribution reporting.
- You have solid email fundamentals: deliverability, segmentation, cadence planning, and A/B testing.
- You’ve designed and executed ABM programs alongside a sales team.
- You’re analytical: at ease building attribution models, reading funnel data, and walking leadership through pipeline results.
- You’ve built from the ground up without an existing playbook, and you bring structure rather than wait for it.
Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage paid 100% by the company, with no employee premium
- Generous paid time off
- Equity options
- 401(k) and FSA
- Continued investment in your professional development
- Base salary of $140,000 to $180,000, based on experience
