Compensation: $125-175K inclusive of base + bonus/equity – commensurate with experience

About the Company

Our client is an early-stage, well-funded AI company building an insights platform for global consumer brands. The platform brings together a brand’s own data, external research, and public web signals so insights teams can get to trustworthy answers quickly. They already serve large enterprise customers and are scaling quickly with a small, accountable team where every hire has visible impact.

The Opportunity

This is the company’s first product marketing hire. You’ll be responsible for turning what the product does into a story that enterprise buyers believe and act on. A separate brand and content team drives awareness. Your focus is everything after that: positioning, sales enablement, and the mid-to-late funnel content that moves deals forward.

Buyers are senior consumer insights leaders at large consumer companies. Deals involve multiple stakeholders, run over long cycles, and depend on trust, because customers are connecting their own proprietary data to the platform. You’ll make sure those buyers understand the value in terms that matter to them, and you’ll give internal champions what they need to win support across their organizations.

Expect to be hands-on. You’ll define the messaging and also create much of the material that carries it, including sales decks, one-pagers, ad copy, and basic landing pages, using existing brand guidelines with design support from the brand team on high-visibility work.

Responsibilities

  • Build the positioning and messaging framework, tying each product capability to a measurable business result for specific buyer personas, and articulating clearly why the platform beats general-purpose AI tools.
  • Lead launches for new features: the story, packaging decisions, and coordination across Product, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Create the sales toolkit, including the core pitch, presentations, one-pagers, competitive battlecards, objection responses, demo scripts, and a library of demo videos.
  • Produce conversion-focused content such as use-case and solution pages, customer stories, demo narratives, and competitive comparisons.
  • Track the competitive landscape, from general AI tools to social listening vendors to direct competitors, and use it to sharpen messaging.
  • Conduct win/loss analysis, customer interviews, and product usage research to keep positioning grounded and to shape the roadmap.
  • Work closely with Product during development so messaging and product direction stay aligned.
  • Contribute to related work where it drives results, including website conversion, demand programs with the growth team, and events and webinars.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, ideally at a fast-growing tech company selling B2B to enterprise customers.
  • A track record of making complex, technical products clear and compelling to non-technical audiences without oversimplifying.
  • Background marketing to senior data, analytics, or insights leaders who expect rigor and push back on hype.
  • Experience building the security, privacy, and credibility messaging that gets enterprises comfortable sharing proprietary data with a vendor.
  • Measurable results: work you can connect to win rates, conversion, or influenced pipeline.
  • A doer who creates the deliverables, not only the strategy.
  • Comfortable using AI tools and automation in your workflow, with sound judgment about where they help and where they don’t.
  • Strong sense of ownership, open to direction, and confident sharing a point of view.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with AI, data, or research technology.
  • Exposure to CPG or consumer brands, where this company’s buyers sit.
  • Experience building a product marketing function from the ground up or working as a team of one.

Culture & Location

  • In-office in Downtown NYC full-time (at least 4 days a week).
  • A small team with real ownership and candid feedback, ideal for someone excited to build at an early stage.
  • Data-driven: decisions are made with testing, win/loss insights, and conversion metrics.
  • Success is measured by business impact, including win rate, conversion, adoption, and influenced pipeline, rather than lead volume.
