Position Overview
The Finance Manager will support plant operations across a multi-site region and serve as a key finance partner to operating leaders. This is a hands-on role focused on forecasting, plant performance, cost visibility and the development of finance talent.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly operating reviews for assigned manufacturing locations.
- Explain performance through volume, rate, mix, labor, overhead, productivity and other operational cost drivers.
- Partner with plant, supply chain and regional leaders on P&L performance, COGS, inventory, capital spending and working capital.
- Build practical financial models and translate plant data into clear recommendations for operating leaders.
- Develop analysts and strengthen financial planning and analysis capabilities across the supported locations.
- Establish consistent reporting and decision support while remaining close to day-to-day plant activity.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Five to ten years of progressive finance experience, including manufacturing, plant, distribution, logistics, supply chain or another asset-intensive operating environment.
- Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and manufacturing cost drivers.
- Demonstrated experience leading or developing finance professionals.
- Advanced Excel modeling and the ability to explain the logic behind an analysis.
- Clear communication skills and credibility with experienced operations and finance leaders.
- Ability to work onsite in Phoenix five days per week and travel periodically to supported facilities.
- Multi-site operations finance experience.
- Experience with standard costing, inventory, capital planning and working-capital improvement.
- Exposure to Power BI and enterprise resource planning systems.
