Position Summary
The Outside Sales Account Manager – Process Automation Industry is responsible for developing and growing business across the process industries, with a focus on the Water/Wastewater market. Additional target industries include chemical processing, oil and gas, refining, food and beverage, power generation, and other industrial manufacturing sectors where DEHN solutions provide critical value.
Working closely with the broader sales team, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with new customers, and expand DEHN's presence within an established and growing U.S. market. This role requires a proactive approach to building a strong pipeline and developing a sustainable book of business.
Success in this position will be driven by a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach. You will engage customers to understand their operational challenges, technical requirements, and risk mitigation objectives, then recommend solutions that address their specific needs. A strong understanding of process industry operations, terminology, and customer priorities is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Sales Responsibility: OEM and Project Sales in the Process Automation Industry Sector
- Educating customers about DEHN business solutions for surge and lightning protection.
- Developing a mix of business in the OEM and Project Sales channels.
- Cold calling, generating new leads and prospecting new accounts.
- Expanding business in existing accounts.
- Closing customer contracts and generating new sales.
- Using the CRM to track progress and report goals.
- Analyzing customer needs and developing innovative solutions.
- Calibrating with team members to drive success.

Experience, Systems and Tools
- Minimum of 5 years' experience selling to the Process Automation Industry and/or W/WW
- Electrical Engineering degree (preferred) or very strong technical aptitude/experience

- Formal sales training a plus
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in English
- Experience in a CRM environment
