About the Role
Our client, a global professional services firm, is looking for a hands-on field marketer to bring its brand and client experience to life in key local markets. You’ll lead the local marketing plan for priority markets — events, sponsorships, executive engagements, client experiences and community activations — working directly with market and business leaders to turn their growth priorities into programs that raise the firm’s visibility and deepen client relationships.
This role is for someone who has owned a regional or local market end to end: building the plan, earning the trust of senior leaders, and then running the program on the ground. Experience in professional services, B2B, financial services or another relationship-driven business is the closest fit.
If you’ve sat across from executives to decide what an event series should accomplish and then run it yourself, this is that role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute field marketing plans aligned with local market priorities, business objectives and growth opportunities
- Lead the planning and execution of local events, client experiences, executive engagements, sponsorships, conferences and community activations
- Partner closely with local business and market leaders to understand their priorities and translate them into actionable marketing strategies
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite and executive-level leaders
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the firm’s visibility and presence within local business communities
- Develop relationships with local business organizations, chambers of commerce, industry associations, community partners and event organizers
- Manage field marketing initiatives from concept through execution, including planning, stakeholder coordination, logistics, communications and follow-up
- Coordinate with internal marketing, communications, creative, digital and business teams to support field programs
- Keep local initiatives aligned with the broader brand and marketing strategy while staying relevant to each market
- Track program effectiveness and use engagement insights and stakeholder feedback to keep improving local market activities
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in field marketing, regional marketing, event marketing, experiential marketing or integrated marketing
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing local or regional market activation strategies
- Strong experience planning and managing events, sponsorships, executive programs, client experiences and in-person activations
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior executives and navigate multiple stakeholder groups
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to run multiple programs, priorities and deadlines at once
- Experience working with business leaders, marketing teams, outside organizations, vendors and community partners
- Strong communication, relationship-building and organizational skills
- Able to operate both strategically and tactically, from building the market strategy to executing programs on the ground
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Based in the Chicago, IL or Cleveland, OH area
- Field or market marketing experience in professional services, consulting, financial services or B2B
Benefits: health insurance and a 401(k)
