Overview
A well-established manufacturer of highly engineered metal components is seeking a Business Development Representative to develop new business and grow existing customer relationships nationwide. This is a consultative, technical sales role focused on custom-engineered solutions, working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and customer visits
- Grow and manage existing customer relationships
- Identify customer needs and develop custom-engineered solutions
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain on new opportunities
- Manage complex 9–18 month sales cycles and maintain an accurate pipeline
- Lead opportunities through the sales and new product introduction process
- Travel domestically for customer meetings and business development
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of sales, business development, or engineering experience
- Technical manufacturing or engineering background preferred
- Experience with metal stamping, metal forming, engineered components, or custom manufacturing strongly preferred
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and developing new business
- CRM experience required; HubSpot a plus
- Willingness to travel approximately 15–25%
Salary & Schedule
- $80,000–$100,000 base + uncapped commission
- Annual bonus opportunity up to 10%
- Hybrid — 2 days onsite, 3 days remote
- Sheboygan, WI
- Nationwide territory
