Role Description The Senior Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Elon, NC. This position is responsible for overseeing key client and partner relationships, serving as the primary point of contact, and ensuring that narrative and communications projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals. Day-to-day tasks include managing project timelines and budgets, coordinating internal and external resources, preparing and leading client meetings, and translating client needs into clear project plans. The Senior Account Manager will monitor performance metrics, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to enhance engagement and impact. This role also involves collaborating closely with creative, communications, and community engagement teams to maintain high-quality work and a consistent, mission-aligned narrative across all initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in account management, client services, or relationship management, preferably in communications, marketing, or community-focused organizations.
- Proficiency in project coordination and organizational skills, including managing timelines, budgets, and multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Strong communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and the capacity to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners, with the ability to build trust, navigate differing priorities, and achieve shared goals.
- Comfort with data and reporting, including tracking key performance indicators, preparing summaries, and using insights to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Ability to work on-site in Elon, NC, with a consistent, reliable presence for meetings, partner engagement, and community interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, marketing, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful representation of community narratives, with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Experience in community engagement, storytelling initiatives, nonprofit or public sector work is beneficial but not required.
