Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications

This position is hybrid and based out of our New York City office, in-office days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the events, content, and program management teams as well as the directors of interactive, marketing and email marketing to develop campaigns and creative content to promote ICSC’s more than 100 events annually and other initiatives to support the member experience.
  • Project manage the planning and execution of integrated marketing initiatives by defining clear message architecture and coordinating campaign strategy, timelines, cross-functional partners, and deliverables to ensure communications are consistent, effective, and delivered on time.
  • Develop and execute integrated communications campaigns across owned digital channels—including email, website, and social media—and create compelling content in multiple formats to increase brand awareness, deepen member and audience engagement, drive event participation, and inspire member action.
  • Identify opportunities in the ICSC content ecosystem to repurpose, adapt, and amplify existing materials and marketing assets extend brand reach and impact, maintain message consistency, and improve marketing efficiency. Stay informed of the latest retail real estate industry trends and leverage them to create timely and relevant content to be shared with ICSC Members.
  • Ensure current marketing communications best practices are being applied across all initiatives and campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in marketing, event marketing, acquisition marketing or related field; association experience preferred.
  • Strong marketing generalist background with experience across email marketing, content marketing, event marketing, digital marketing, member communications, and campaign strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent marketing projects and campaigns from planning through execution, including the coordination of internal stakeholders, timelines, approvals, and deliverables.
  • Proven ability to develop communications plans that leverage existing channels and content assets to increase awareness, engagement, and conversion.
  • Exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences and business objectives.
  • Experience developing content calendars, communication cadences, and audience segmentation strategies based on campaign goals and customer journey considerations.
  • Experience working in marketing software including ESPs, CRM systems, and reporting tools specifically Marketo, as well as Salesforce MC/Pardot, Eloqua, Responsys, Microsoft Dynamics, Heap Analytics, Heap, PowerBI, Google Analytics; proficiency with various AI tools such as CoPilot and Jasper.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Impeccable writing, editing (content and copy editing) and communication skills
  • Team player; strong people management and change management skills
  • Strong planning skills; demonstrated ability to meet or beat deadlines
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with leaders, team members, staff and associations members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat; In Design experience is a plus
