Senior It Financial Analyst

Seeking a Senior Telecom Expense Management professional with demonstrated hands-on experience auditing carrier invoices, reconciling wireless/mobile, voice and data charges, investigating billing discrepancies, analyzing unused services, and identifying telecom cost savings. Prior telecom expense management experience is required.

The candidate should bring:

• Required hands-on telecom expense management experience, including auditing carrier invoices;
  reconciling wireless/mobile, landline, voice and data charges against inventory, usage and contracts;
  resolving billing discrepancies;
  analyzing zero-usage services;
  and identifying telecomcost savings.
• Financial management: Contract spending versus funding, budgeting, midyear/year-end forecasting, planned-versus-actual expenses, project budget variance investigation and resolution, vendor payments, and rollover of unspent funds.
• Project reporting: Preparing status reports showing project performance against cost and schedule parameters.
• Process improvement: Establishing and optimizing expense-management processes and automating manual work.
• Hands-on analytics and reporting: Large datasets, advanced Excel—including pivot tables and analytical/table functions—databases, ServiceNow reports, Power BI dashboard development, and presentations to leadership.
• Business analysis: Gathering requirements, defining business needs, and forecasting procurement requirements for new purchases, contract modifications, and vendor payments.
• PeopleSoft knowledge, with cloud expense experience relevant to the unit’s broader scope.
• Communication and work quality: Ability to explain complex findings clearly, work independently with high-volume data, maintain accuracy, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

Experience requirements: 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including 6+ years in finance/accounting, “6+ years working with wireless/mobile expenses, carrier billing and usage analysis.”

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Project-based financial management, budgeting/forecasting, or auditing experience is a plus.
