Build Your Sales Career at LoadDelivered

Looking for a career where you can build relationships, compete, and see your work translate into results? Join LoadDelivered Logistics, a Logistics Plus company, and learn how to turn new business opportunities into lasting customer partnerships.

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll connect with companies that need freight transportation, understand their shipping challenges, and develop solutions to keep their products moving. You’ll own the sales process, from your first cold call to winning an account and growing that relationship over time.

Training That Sets You Up for Success

You’ll begin with a structured, two- to three-month training program designed to build your confidence in sales and logistics. Training includes:

  • Classroom instruction covering logistics fundamentals and the transportation industry.
  • Practice calls to sharpen your approach before you go live.
  • Shadowing experienced reps to learn how they prospect, win business, and manage accounts.
  • Live prospecting calls under a trainer’s supervision.

As you build your book of business, you’ll continue receiving coaching and support from experienced leaders. Success takes consistent outreach, resilience, and patience as you develop your pipeline and grow your commission opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Find new customers: Research companies and connect with decisionmakers through high-volume cold calls, emails, and other outbound outreach.
  • Understand their needs: Lead discovery conversations to learn about shipping challenges and identify where LoadDelivered can help.
  • Win business: Develop transportation proposals, negotiate pricing, and turn prospects into customers.
  • Grow your accounts: Build lasting relationships and identify opportunities to support more of each customer’s transportation and supply chain needs.
  • Support your customers: Work with internal teams to coordinate freight, communicate shipment updates, and help resolve issues.
  • Manage your pipeline: Keep prospect and account information organized while working toward activity, sales, and profitability goals.

Why Build Your Book Here?

  • Room to grow: Start with small and mid-size shippers and earn access to larger accounts as you build your book.
  • Ownership of your relationships: Retain and grow the accounts you bring in, building on the work you put into developing those partnerships.
  • Uncapped earning potential: Earn a $50,000 base salary plus uncapped commission, which typically starts once you have built your first accounts, usually within your first six months.

What We’re Looking For

  • Motivation to build a career in sales and learn the logistics industry.
  • Comfort initiating conversations and making consistent outbound calls.
  • Resilience when faced with rejection and a willingness to apply feedback.
  • Strong listening, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.
  • A competitive mindset paired with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Benefits and Culture

  • River North office with a hybrid schedule: Monday–Thursday in office and Friday work from home.
  • Opportunities for career advancement as you develop your skills and deliver results.
  • Health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
  • PTO and paid holidays.
  • 401(k) company match.
  • On-site workout facility and discounted Chicago Athletic Clubs membership.
  • Company-sponsored social events, including trivia nights, sip-and-paint nights, happy hours around Chicago, Cubs outings, and company softball games.
  • Opportunities to give back through philanthropy and community events.
  • Casual dress code.
