About the Role
Loop is hiring a Head of Product Marketing to usher in the next wave of innovations and growth. We’re in the early stages of establishing Loop as the leader in the new category of Supply Chain AI, pushing well past the boundaries of existing categories and in the process of still writing our story. Most Head of Product Marketing roles ask you to sharpen positioning inside a category that’s already settled. This one asks you to help establish it and prove our right to lead it.
You’ll own messaging, positioning, and buyer insight end to end, and turn what our product and engineering teams build into a story a buyer who has never heard of Loop can follow in one read. You’ll run competitive intelligence, lead sales enablement, establish what effective product launches look like in today’s dynamic and AI-driven world, and build out best in class practices with AI to balance efficiency with a real, human voice.
Someone used to the chaos and context–switching of product marketing will thrive in this role. You might be deep in a spreadsheet of win‑loss data one hour and arguing with a designer over a one‑pager’s layout the next, then sitting with a product manager to understand a feature well enough to sell it. There’s always more worth doing than time to do it, so deciding what to skip matters as much as deciding what to build.
You’ll report directly to the Head of Marketing on a small team that spans product marketing, growth and ABM, and customer marketing, with design and brand support as needed. Potential opportunity to expand the team over time.
This is an in‑person role based in San Francisco or Chicago, with the expectation of being in the office 4+ days per week.
Ability to travel 5-15% of the time for customer visits, industry events, and team onsites.
What You’ll Do
- Own positioning, messaging, and buyer insight for Loop, and build the frameworks, personas, and value propositions that sales, marketing, and customer success all work from.
- Convert technical product work into a story anyone can follow. Pull the important pieces out of specs and roadmaps and turn them into decks, one‑pagers, and sales narratives that read cleanly and look like Loop.
- Lead competitive intelligence, and turn what you learn into positioning calls, GTM strategy, and input the product team actually uses.
- Support our analyst and press relations engagements with thought leadership content, and help decide how Loop can best leverage these channels to grow our mindshare at shippers.
- Run product launches end to end, from the first internal briefing through the sales enablement and content that carries the message into the field.
- Lead Loop’s AI benchmark program. Work with engineering to define what to test and how to run it, then make sure the results actually establish Loop as the AI leader in the supply chain.
- Own Loop’s core marketing collateral and assets, and keep finding better ways to get that information in front of the people who need it.
- Build out the vertical marketing story that feeds our ABM campaigns, drawing on real customer insight to show what Loop’s value looks like in each market we sell into.
- Own Loop’s value story. Capture real customer results and turn what our features and solutions do into outcomes buyers actually care about.
- Figure out how product marketing itself should use AI and modern tools, so the function keeps up as Loop’s customer base and product line grow.
About You
- 8+ years in B2B product marketing, ideally at a technical or data‑heavy company, with work you’ve owned and can walk through in detail.
- Curious about how things actually work. You don’t need a technical degree, but you want to understand the product well enough to explain it, and what AI can unlock genuinely excites you.
- A writer and storyteller who can take something dense and technical and make it simple without making it generic. You notice when a sentence is doing real work and when it’s AI‑shaped filler, and you care about how a deck or a one‑pager actually looks.
- Comfortable holding a dozen threads at once, in a job where a morning in a spreadsheet can turn into an afternoon reviewing a designer’s draft and then a call with a product manager about one specific feature. You’d rather make a fast, informed call than wait for certainty.
- Experience building messaging frameworks and positioning from a blank page, not just maintaining what someone else already set up.
- Hands‑on experience with analyst relations, and comfortable turning outside perception into an internal point of view.
- Familiarity with marketing and CRM systems, HubSpot preferred.
- A strong communicator in writing and in person, who acts like an owner rather than waiting to be told what’s next.
- Big plus if you’ve marketed a technical, AI, or data product into enterprise buyers, or have supply chain, logistics, or fintech experience.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is $190,000-$230,000. This range reflects the base pay that Loop reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of hire. Actual compensation will depend on job‑related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, location, and business needs.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual performance bonus and equity. This role is also eligible for Loop’s benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, paid holidays, and parental leave.
