Behind every brand on your kitchen shelf is a team doing extraordinary work that almost nobody sees. Confido is building the platform those brands run on — an AI operating system that unifies cash application, deductions, trade, and planning for CPG companies. Trusted by 250+ brands managing $20B+ in revenue, including OLIPOP, Simple Mills, and Idahoan, and backed by a $55M Series B led by Insight Partners, the company is accelerating fast. The product is ahead of its narrative, and that is precisely the gap a Product Marketer based in New York, NY will close.
What It Means to Be a Product Marketer at Confido
This is not a role where you polish messaging for an average product. You are stepping into a founding PMM position — one of the first at the company — reporting to the VP of Marketing, with genuine authority over how the platform shows up in the market. The stickiness is real, category leaders keep choosing Confido, and the missing piece is telling the world why. If you have ever wanted to make the thing rather than brief someone else to do it, this is that opportunity.
What You Will Own
You own strategy, programming, and the moments: what gets said, to whom, and where. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build the work directly.
- Positioning and narrative: sharpen how each product area is positioned as the platform evolves
- Product-market clarity: define the ideal customer profile, buyer personas, jobs to be done, alternatives, and reasons customers expand
- Launch orchestration: plan and execute end-to-end product launches that turn new features into real pipeline
- Customer-insight engine: build lightweight automations using Gong, HubSpot, and Zapier to transform calls and win/loss data into themes, quotes, and competitive intelligence
- GTM enablement: create battlecards and messaging that equip sales reps to win live deals
- Customer proof: source, write, and deploy case studies at the exact moments Sales needs them
- Integrated planning: connect the product roadmap to the marketing calendar across lifecycle, social, partnerships, AEO, and brand moments
How Success Is Measured
Confido measures product marketing on pipeline moved and deals won — not on activity volume.
- Deal velocity and win rate (primary): sharp positioning and enablement should move qualified deals faster and beat alternatives more often
- Influenced pipeline trajectory: every deal maps to one of five motions — inbound, outbound, referral, partnerships, upsell — and what matters is whether the share of pipeline you build grows over time
- Launch impact: new products are measured on adoption and the pipeline they generate, not on shipping
- Enablement effectiveness: reps are equipped, using your assets, and able to defend against competitors in live deals
What You Bring
- 7+ years of dedicated product marketing experience — this is a craft PMM role, not an adjacent function
- Background in CPG, commerce software, or B2B technology where you translated complex products into clear entry points
- Excellent writing and narrative instincts with financial and quantitative fluency
- Strong cross-functional project management skills and sound judgment about structure
- Willingness to work on-site at the NYC headquarters five days a week
Compensation and Benefits
The verified salary for this full-time role ranges from USD 200,000 to 220,000 per year, plus equity in a company you are helping build. Additional benefits include fully paid health coverage through Aetna, top-tier dental and vision through Guardian, Carrot Fertility support, 12 weeks of paid parental leave, unlimited PTO with regular four-day holiday weekends, a 401(k) through Vestwell, paid relocation support to NYC, and a fully equipped workspace from day one — including a $200 personalization stipend and catered Friday lunches featuring products from the brands Confido works with.
How to Stand Out as an Applicant
Because this role sits at the intersection of marketing and software development, standing out means demonstrating craft, not just experience:
- Showcase narrative samples: bring positioning documents, launch playbooks, or battlecards you have personally written. Hiring managers want to see your thinking on a page, not just hear you describe it.
- Quantify pipeline impact: be ready to discuss specific deals you influenced, win-rate improvements you drove, and launch-to-pipeline conversion metrics. Confido measures PMMs on revenue impact, so speak that language fluently.
- Demonstrate tool fluency: mention hands‑on experience with Gong for call analysis, HubSpot for lifecycle marketing, and Zapier for automating insight pipelines. These are explicitly part of the role.
- Highlight CPG or commerce SaaS context: if you have worked within consumer packaged goods workflows or B2B platforms serving finance, sales, or ops teams, make that connection explicit.
- Reference relevant communities: platforms like Pavilion, Product Marketing Alliance, and B2B marketing Slack groups are where senior PMMs share frameworks. Mentioning current thinking on category creation or competitive positioning signals you are plugged into the craft.
This is a rare founding role at a company whose product has already proven its stickiness with category-leading brands. If you want your work to show up on shelves everywhere — and you are ready for outsized ownership while you build — this could be the move that defines your career.
