About the company

Founded in 2007, Olight is a globally renowned enterprise in the portable lighting industry. Guided by the unwavering mission of “Illuminating the World”, we are dedicated to crafting innovative, tech-driven and stylish portable lighting solutions. Our core product portfolio covers a wide range of items, including various types of flashlights (outdoor flashlights, EDC flashlights, weapon lights), headlamps, clip-on lights, ambient lights, camping lanterns, work lights, as well as peripheral products such as smart charging docks and optical components.

About the Role

We are looking for a U.S.-based business leader to take the OLIGHT brand deep into the American market — expanding B2B channels, building trust with local customers, and establishing a localized marketing and service organization that responds quickly to local needs. You will own the end-to-end localization strategy and the operating results for the U.S. region. Starting with marketing localization, you will identify market opportunities, build distribution channels, and grow the local brand. The next stage goes further: moving toward demand-driven product definition, breaking out of the traditional “made in China, shipped to the U.S.” export model, and building a complete commercial loop on the U.S. side. You will be fully accountable for the P&L of the U.S. region.

Responsibilities

  • Land the marketing localization strategy
  • Research the U.S. B2B market, competitors, and real end-user needs in depth.
  • Define the local GTM strategy, brand strategy, and channel mix.
  • Lead OLIGHT’s local brand building and market promotion, and build a North American B2B distribution network — with priority focus on government channels, industrial hardware channels, and top-tier distributors — to create a sustainable, self-reinforcing channel growth loop.
  • Build and run the local sales organization
  • Build the U.S. sales team from zero to one.
  • Independently design performance incentives, territory planning, and customer tiering for a local (U.S.-based) sales force.
  • Build a high-execution local team, enable distributors and frontline sales, and take final responsibility for regional revenue, gross margin, and collections.
  • Align with HQ and keep iterating
  • Partner with the Shenzhen headquarters on mid- and long-term strategic goals.
  • Continuously review channel health, product sell-through, and operating data.
  • Take on scaled revenue targets and keep refining the local business model in a high-pressure environment.

Required Skills

  • Near-native English — able to lead senior-level business negotiations independently, manage a local team, and author full English market analysis reports and business documents.
  • Deep expertise in B2B brand building and market operations — strong command of U.S. business culture, business etiquette, negotiation logic, and channel dynamics; familiar with the North American B2B compliance landscape.
  • A proven track record of managing RMB 1 billion+ (≈ USD 140M) in annual revenue, with demonstrated success scaling a large-scale B2B distribution business.
  • Deep knowledge of the North American B2B distribution ecosystem — government channels, industrial hardware channels, and how top-tier distributors operate, backed by hands-on experience developing, negotiating with, and deeply operating key distributor accounts.
  • Experience building an overseas local sales organization from zero to one — able to independently design compensation and territory management for a local sales force, with a proven record of managing a U.S.-based team on the ground.
  • Strong resilience under pressure — able to run an integrated growth loop across both channel operations and local marketing, reduce dependence on HQ resources, and independently take the region from 0 to 1 and from 1 to N.

Location

Based permanently in the United States, with periodic strategy alignment meetings with the Shenzhen headquarters.
