BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – CATTLE FEEDING INFRASTRUCTUREPergena Systems

Territory: Midwest / U.S. Cattle Feeding Regions

Compensation: Commission / Success-Fee Based

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer / Commercial Leadership

THE OPPORTUNITY

Pergena Systems is building a new generation of cattle feeding infrastructure designed to improve cattle performance, reduce weather-related operating challenges, capture

nutrients more effectively, and create greater long-term value from cattle production.

A central component of that strategy is Pergena’s slatted-floor covered cattle barn platform.

Pergena has established an aggressive commercial objective:

Build 100 barns representing approximately 100,000 cattle head spaces over the next three years.

We are seeking a highly entrepreneurial Business Development Manager – Cattle Feeding Infrastructure to help make that objective a reality.

This is not a traditional salaried sales position. It is a commission-based business development opportunity for an experienced cattle-industry professional who already understands cattle feeders, knows how agricultural capital decisions are made, and

has the relationships and persistence required to turn interest into signed construction contracts.

The successful candidate will identify cattle feeders who can benefit economically from covered slatted-floor infrastructure, develop relationships with those producers, build the business case for investment, and lead opportunities through contract execution.

THE MISSION

The Business Development Manager has one primary mission:

Convert cattle feeders into Pergena barn customers.

Success will be measured primarily by signed barn contracts, cattle head spaces contracted, and ultimately barns placed into construction.

The individual will be expected to build and manage a substantial pipeline capable of supporting Pergena’s company-wide goal of approximately:

Year 1: 20 barns / 20,000 head spaces

Year 2: 35 barns / 35,000 head spaces

Year 3: 45 barns / 45,000 head spaces

Three-Year Objective: 100 barns / approximately 100,000 head spaces

Individual targets will be established based on territory and market opportunity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Business Development Manager will own the commercial relationship with prospective cattle-feeding customers from initial identification through signed agreement.

Responsibilities include:

·       Identify and qualify cattle feeders capable of investing in approximately 1,000-head or larger covered slatted-floor cattle facilities.

·       Develop a targeted territory and account strategy focused on high-probability producers rather than broad, transactional lead generation.

·       Build relationships directly with feedlot owners, cattle feeders, farmers, ranchers, agricultural families, lenders, nutritionists, veterinarians, consultants and other trusted influencers.

·       Introduce Pergena’s cattle infrastructure platform and clearly communicate its potential operational and economic advantages.

·       Help producers evaluate the economics of transitioning cattle from conventional outdoor pens or other facilities into covered slatted-floor barns.

·       Work with Pergena’s engineering, construction, finance and technical teams to develop customer-specific concepts and proposals.

·       Coordinate site visits, producer meetings, barn tours and customer reference conversations.

·       Help prospective customers evaluate financing alternatives and engage agricultural lenders where appropriate.

·       Develop proposals and move qualified opportunities through Pergena’s commercial sales process.

·       Identify and overcome objections that prevent producers from moving forward.

·       Negotiate commercial terms within Pergena-approved parameters.

·       Maintain disciplined follow-up until the producer reaches a decision.

·       Secure executed construction agreements and deposits.

·       Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, including estimated head spaces, project value, probability, next action and expected closing date.

·       Develop referral relationships capable of producing multiple projects within a region.

·       Represent Pergena at cattle industry meetings, trade shows, producer events and other relevant industry gatherings.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate already has credibility within the cattle-feeding community. We are particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds in:

Cattle feeding | Feedlot equipment | Agricultural construction | Livestock facilities | Animal nutrition | Cattle finance | Agricultural lending | Beef genetics | Feed and commodity sales | Animal health | Farm equipment | Livestock technology

The strongest candidate may be a former cattle-industry salesperson, feedlot manager, agricultural lender, livestock-equipment representative, construction professional, nutrition consultant or producer who has developed a strong network among cattle

feeders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates should possess most of the following:

·       Established relationships within the U.S. cattle-feeding industry.

·       Strong understanding of feedlot economics and producer decision-making.

·       Demonstrated ability to sell significant capital investments to agricultural customers.

·       Ability to communicate ROI rather than simply product features.

·       Comfort discussing cost of gain, cattle performance, labor, manure management, facility utilization and capital investment.

·       Ability to communicate effectively with both multi-generational family operations and sophisticated commercial feeding organizations.

·       Strong prospecting and relationship-development skills.

·       Persistence and discipline in managing long agricultural sales cycles.

·       Ability to operate independently without significant corporate infrastructure.

·       Willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned cattle-feeding territories.

·       High personal integrity and credibility with agricultural producers.

Direct experience selling cattle facilities or other significant capital equipment to cattle feeders is highly desirable.

COMPENSATION

This position is structured initially as an independent, performance-driven commission/success-fee opportunity.

There is no guaranteed base salary during Pergena’s current pre-revenue / capital formation stage.

Compensation will be earned primarily through successfully executed and qualifying customer transactions under a written commission plan.

The structure is intended to create substantial upside for individuals capable of developing and closing meaningful cattle infrastructure projects.

Pergena intends to establish clear rules regarding:

·       Commission per qualifying barn or head space sold

·       Payment milestones

·       Customer/project attribution

·       Treatment of company-generated versus self-generated leads

·       Multi-barn customer incentives

·       Territory development

·       Referral opportunities

·       Commission protection for qualified opportunities under development

·       Potential performance bonuses for exceeding annual targets

As Pergena achieves revenue and financing milestones, exceptional performers may be considered for expanded commercial leadership responsibilities and/or a salaried compensation structure.

HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED

The primary measurement is straightforward:

Signed cattle head spaces.

Leading indicators will include qualified producers added to the pipeline, producer

meetings, site assessments, proposals issued, financing discussions initiated, contracts pending, contracts executed and head spaces entering construction.

We are not looking for someone who simply generates meetings.

We are looking for someone who closes barns. WHY PERGENA

Pergena Systems is working to transform cattle infrastructure from a necessary cost center into a platform capable of creating greater economic and biological value throughout the

beef supply chain.

Our strategy begins with better cattle-feeding infrastructure and ultimately connects cattle production with manure management, renewable energy, nutrient recovery, soil fertility

and other emerging value streams.

The Business Development Manager will be on the front end of that transformation.

For the right cattle-industry entrepreneur, this is an opportunity to help build a national infrastructure platform rather than simply represent another agricultural product.

THE PERSON WE WANT

You probably already know many of the cattle feeders Pergena needs to meet.

You understand that a producer does not invest millions of dollars in infrastructure

because of a brochure or a sales pitch. They invest when they trust the people involved, understand the economics, see evidence that the system works, and believe the investment will make their operation stronger for the next generation.

Your job is to build that trust, demonstrate that value and turn conviction into action.

Pergena’s goal is 100 barns in three years.

We are looking for people who want to help build them.
