Job Summary:
Build the financial plans that directly shape our clients’ retirements. Our client, a fast-paced, service-oriented financial planning firm, is seeking a Financial Planning Associate to work directly with their Financial Planners in preparing for client and prospect meetings, building financial plans and analysis, and supporting the broader Client Services team. This is a great fit for someone who wants their analytical work to have a real, visible impact on people’s lives, not just live in a spreadsheet.
About the Firm:
Our client empowers retirement dreams by providing clear, caring, and integrity-driven fiduciary guidance. They operate with a warm, family-oriented culture built on positivity, continuous improvement, and always doing what’s right for their clients.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a positive, solutions-oriented professional with sharp analytical skills and a genuine attention to detail — someone who catches the small things before they become problems. You’re well-organized, warm, and personable, equally comfortable digging into a Roth conversion analysis independently and collaborating with planners and the Client Services team. You bring a can-do attitude to a fast-paced environment and take pride in getting things right the first time. A CFP designation or active progress toward one is preferred and viewed as a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate and consolidate portfolio returns for all existing clients.
- Create risk and return analysis and investment policy statements for clients and prospects.
- Review current investment strategies across the client base to determine recommended strategies.
- Build customized financial plans and plan summaries for clients and prospects.
- Prepare new financial review documents and underwriting instructions for the Client Services team.
- Perform Roth conversion analysis and calculate optimal tax brackets for conversions.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client and prospect data within the firm’s CRM.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience building financial plans.
- Series 65 or Series 66, and PA Life & Health Insurance licenses a plus, or willingness to obtain within 6-12 months of hire.
- CFP designation or CFP candidate (actively pursuing) preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, or another financial planning software is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (e.G., Salesforce);
familiarity with Kwantior Charles Schwab a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
$60,000–$90,000 base, DOE & licenses, plus bonus opportunities. Full benefits package including 401(k) with match, health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, parental leave, and professional development assistance.
This is an onsite role, Monday through Friday, in Allentown, PA. Competitive salary, full benefits, and a firm that genuinely invests in your growth.
