Renwick Hospitality Group creates hospitality destinations people come back to, and we’re growing. At Hotel Park Ave, we run three venues: Golden Child, Park Rose and Seed Library. Together they cover a restaurant, a rooftop and a cocktail bar. Guests come to us for their biggest celebrations: birthdays, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, milestone celebrations, holiday parties, sunset rooftop receptions and full buyouts. We also host corporate events and brand activations.
About the Role
We’re looking for an Event Manager to own the events business across all three venues. You’ll book every event at Hotel Park Ave, from the first inquiry to the final toast. Then you’ll make sure each one is executed to a high standard. You won’t be doing it alone: our management team will support you, and you’ll set the pace.
This role needs two strengths. You’re outgoing and good with people. You enjoy giving site tours, building relationships with clients and making them feel taken care of from the first phone call. You’re also very organized. You keep a full calendar of inquiries, contracts and timelines moving without missing a detail.
Your earnings grow with the business you build, because every event you book earns you commission.
What You’ll Do
Sell & Build Relationships
- Respond quickly to every event inquiry by phone, voicemail, email and event platform. In this business, speed wins bookings.
- Host potential, current and returning clients for site tours, tastings and walkthroughs of Golden Child, Park Rose and Seed Library.
- Drive social bookings by building relationships with event planners, the local community and guests celebrating big moments.
- Grow corporate events through relationships with companies, agencies and the hotel sales team.
- Sell and upsell beverage packages, menu upgrades, enhancements and full-venue buyouts.
- Turn first-time clients into repeat clients with follow-up, thank-you notes and post-event check-ins.
Book & Plan Every Event
- Own all bookings, large-party reservations, private events and buyouts in Tripleseat or other event platforms.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), floor plans and event timelines.
- Manage deposits, payment schedules, minimum spends and final invoicing.
- Work with our culinary and bar teams on custom menus, beverage programs and signature cocktails.
- Coordinate with outside vendors, including florists, AV, DJs and entertainment, photographers and rentals.
- Plan the event calendar across all three venues so private events and regular service don’t conflict.
Ensure Quality Execution
- Lead events on site with the support of our management team. Brief staff, oversee setup and breakdown, and handle problems before guests notice them.
- Run weekly event review meetings covering all upcoming events, including private dinners, parties, corporate events and activations.
- Act as the main liaison to the corporate office for brand activations.
- Uphold service standards and SOPs for events and regular service, and coach the event team.
- Open and close F&B spaces as needed, and step in on the floor when the night calls for it.
Drive Results
- Track gratuities, service charges, fees and all private-booking documentation.
- Complete daily financial procedures, checklists and reconciliations.
- Meet event revenue goals set by the Events Director, F&B Director and ownership.
- Use event and POS platforms to report on bookings, revenue, conversion rates and trends.
- Help forecast, budget and plan staffing for the event outlets.
- Work with marketing on event packages, seasonal and holiday offerings and promotions.
Who You Are
- A people person. You start conversations easily and remember the details that make clients feel valued.
- Highly organized. You run multiple events at once with clean records and up-to-date timelines.
- Responsive. You reply the same day and follow up without being asked.
- Calm under pressure. When plans change mid-event, you adjust and the event keeps going.
- Motivated by results. You like having goals and being rewarded for hitting them.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in event sales, event management or private dining in a restaurant, hotel or nightlife setting
- Experience with Tripleseat or similar event platforms
- Solid knowledge of restaurant operations, F&B service and inventory management
- Ability to sell and upsell
- Understanding of event forecasting and budgeting
- Leadership skills and an interest in training and developing others
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Open availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays. This is a leadership role averaging a minimum of 50 hours per week.
- Ability to stand for long periods and travel locally for client meetings as needed
What’s In It for You
- Commission on every event you book: your effort directly raises your earnings
- Performance incentives and bonuses for meeting revenue goals
- Competitive base salary
- Health insurance: 70% employer-covered for you, 50% for family members
- Dental and vision insurance: 25% employer-covered
- 401(k) plan
- Paid time off
