Wheelhouse is a fintech platform for the $500B+ flex rental space. We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of our massive daily ingestion engine, processing calendar data for 14+ million listings worldwide.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Data Engineering or Backend Engineering experience
- Deep database expertise in PostgreSQL and AWS Aurora
- Strong programming skills in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Job Orchestration experience with Resque, Sidekiq, Celery, or similar
- DevOps & Cloud experience with AWS cloud services, infrastructure provisioning, and CI/CD pipelines
- Data Modeling expertise with strong ability to design data models that balance fast ingestion with efficient application querying
- Problem Solver with track record of identifying performance bottlenecks in complex distributed systems
- Remote DNA with ability to work autonomously, communicate asynchronously, and manage own ‘healthy hustle’
