Data Visualization Specialist – Power BI / SQL / Business Intelligence

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Visualization Specialist with at least 5 years of experience in business intelligence (BI) and data visualization development to contribute to data analysis and exploitation initiatives within a public sector organization.

The person will be responsible for transforming complex data into clear, relevant, and accessible dashboards, interactive reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic and operational decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data visualization or business intelligence.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business intelligence, statistics, mathematics, software engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and developing dashboards and interactive reports.
• Experience in data analysis, exploitation, and valorization projects.
• Experience in a comparable organizational environment, particularly in the public or municipal sector.
• Participation in technological or digital transformation projects.
• Excellent mastery of Microsoft Power BI for designing visualization and reporting solutions.
• Good mastery of SQL for data extraction, interrogation, and analysis.
• Knowledge of data modeling, including: Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Table relationships, Analytical data structures.
• Knowledge of data preparation and transformation tools: Power Query, SSIS or comparable tools.
• Good understanding of business intelligence and data analytics concepts.
• Knowledge of best practices in visualization: Readability and clarity of information, Ergonomics and user experience (UX/UI), Data Storytelling, Effective presentation of KPIs.
• Good understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
• Knowledge of data governance and quality principles.
• Understanding of IT environments and data management processes.
• Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into adapted visualization solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical audiences.
• Mandatory French proficiency.
