AJ Exec has been retained by a high-growth FinTech SaaS company to appoint a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead its next phase of commercial growth.
This is a rare opportunity to join a category-defining software business serving some of the world’s leading institutional investors, asset managers and private markets firms. With a proven product, blue-chip customer base, strong market momentum and significant growth ambitions, the business is now seeking an exceptional commercial leader to scale revenue globally.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CRO will own the entire revenue engine and play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction and value creation strategy of the company.
The Opportunity
As the senior commercial executive, you will be responsible for driving global revenue growth across new business, customer expansion, partnerships and marketing.
You will work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to build a scalable, repeatable go-to-market function capable of accelerating growth from its current stage towards the next major revenue milestone.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role requiring a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable closing enterprise deals, building teams and designing commercial infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Leadership
- Own global ARR growth and revenue performance
- Drive new logo acquisition across enterprise accounts
- Partner with Customer Success to maximise expansion revenue and net revenue retention
- Personally lead strategic, high-value enterprise opportunities
- Build and develop a world-class commercial organisation across North America and Europe
Go-to-Market Strategy
- Define and execute the company’s global commercial strategy
- Refine ideal customer profiles, segmentation and positioning
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership on growth initiatives and monetisation opportunities
- Develop pricing, packaging and commercial models aligned to customer value
- Create scalable, repeatable sales processes and forecasting discipline
Marketing & Demand Generation
- Lead global marketing and demand generation efforts
- Build a predictable pipeline creation engine
- Strengthen brand awareness and thought leadership within target markets
- Own marketing budgets, campaign performance and event strategy
Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
- Develop strategic partnerships across the fintech, data and financial services ecosystem
- Create channel and alliance programmes that generate measurable revenue impact
- Manage key commercial relationships and partnership agreements
Revenue Operations
- Establish best-in-class forecasting, CRM discipline and pipeline management
- Build scalable commercial processes, reporting and operational infrastructure
- Present revenue performance and growth strategy to the Board and investors
- Drive accountability, performance management and commercial excellence across the organisation
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven success selling complex enterprise SaaS solutions into financial services
- Track record of closing seven-figure ARR enterprise deals
- Experience selling to institutional investors, asset managers, private markets firms or comparable financial institutions
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale commercial organisations in high-growth environments
- Experience designing and implementing go-to-market strategy, not simply executing within an existing framework
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders, boards and investors
Highly Desirable
- Experience within fund accounting, fund administration, portfolio management technology, private markets software or adjacent fintech sectors
- Background combining large enterprise software environments with high-growth SaaS businesses
- Exposure to venture-backed, private equity-backed or scale-up organisations
- Experience with recurring revenue, usage-based pricing or platform commercial models
- Strong network within the institutional financial services ecosystem
