Senior Director, Global Deal Desk & Commercial Strategy

Role Overview

Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Senior Director, Global Deal Desk & Commercial Strategy is a highly strategic and visible leadership role responsible for leading Alteryx’s global Deal Desk/Strategy function and overseeing the governance, scalability, and operational excellence of the company’s quote-to-order lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will lead the global Deal Desk organization, build and develop a high-performing global team, establish scalable organizational structures, and drive consistency, accountability, and operational excellence across global deal approval and contract governance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 12+ years of progressive experience in Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, Revenue Accounting, Commercial Operations, or related functions within a high-growth SaaS or technology company
• 5+ years of experience leading global teams, including managing managers and senior-level leaders
• Strong expertise in SaaS business models, enterprise deal structuring, and quote-to-order operations
• Strong conceptual understanding of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, and revenue recognition implications of commercial contracts
• Proven experience partnering with executive leadership and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong operational mindset with demonstrated success leading transformation and scalability initiatives
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, CPQ, and contract lifecycle management systems strongly preferred
