Role Overview

The Sr Revenue Strategy Business Development Manager owns the revenue strategy and deal diligence process for creator partnerships, driving deal economics from early evaluation through greenlight. This role synthesizes brand demand signals, seller feedback, and market intelligence to inform pipeline strategy, leads financial modeling in partnership with Finance, and drives the onboarding handoff that enables BD leadership to make informed, timely go/no-go decisions on creator projects.

Key job responsibilities include owning end-to-end content licensing strategy, leading rights acquisition efforts, interpreting contractual terms, evaluating financial terms and performance of content deals, building and managing vendor relationships, supporting content merchandising, leading pipeline governance cadence, and driving creator onboarding handoff.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of account management, business development, content licensing or finance experience
  • Knowledge of digital video landscape, including solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies
  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience with end-to-end ownership of major project deliverables
  • 5+ years of experience in content licensing, including negotiating and closing licensing agreements with rights holders
  • Experience securing rights to distribute digital content (music/video) via SVOD, TVOD, or AVOD platforms
  • 5+ years experience interpreting contractual terms and conditions related to content licensing
  • Experience evaluating content licensing deals end-to-end — including financial terms and performance analysis with Finance, contractual interpretation with Legal/Business Affairs, and vendor-specific promotional campaign support with Marketing and Product teams
  • Experience evaluating rights acquisition structures and their financial implications (e.g., exclusivity, territory scope, distribution restrictions)
  • Experience building and leveraging relationships with media companies, networks, artists, agents, or rights holders to inform deal strategy
  • Experience authoring complex, data-driven business documents (e.g., deal recommendations, greenlight memos, or investment cases) that synthesize cross-functional inputs into a clear financial narrative for senior leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
