Product Operations Engineer – Counter Intrusion

On Site Full TimeCosta Mesa, California, United StatesAnduril Industries

Role Overview

As a Product Operations Engineer on the Counter-Intrusion product operations team, you will be the architect behind how we observe, maintain, and evolve our deployed fleet. Where others respond to incidents, you build the systems, queries, and processes that prevent them.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, and maintain queries and dashboards for uptime reporting across the Counter-Intrusion deployed fleet, translating raw telemetry into actionable fleet health metrics. Serve as the product operations planner and executor for software changes deployed to towers, owning the end-to-end lifecycle from change validation through rollout and post-deployment verification.

Why It Might Be a Fit

You should bring strong technical depth in observability and systems thinking, paired with the judgment to prioritize what to build next based on fleet data and operational patterns.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical operations or engineering role with hands-on responsibility for production systems
  • Prior experience in a product operations, technical support, or site reliability role supporting deployed hardware/software systems, with demonstrated progression in scope and ownership
  • Proficiency in developing monitoring queries, dashboards, and alerting configurations using observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, or similar tooling
  • Experience planning and executing software deployments to distributed systems, including rollout strategy, validation, and rollback procedures
  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash) with a track record of building tooling that improves operational efficiency
  • Experience with software development tooling such as Git, and issue tracking tools such as Jira
  • Demonstrated ability to author clear, thorough technical documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides
  • Proven ability to work independently, identify what needs to be built, and deliver it without close direction
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  • Active U.S. security clearance required

  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees
  • Comprehensive, competitive benefits package
