This is an opportunity to join Ascot Group as a Data Engineer in a collaborative and inclusive culture, working on data warehouse projects and leveraging AI and automation to enhance decision making and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst/Engineer for a large Data Warehouse working with large data sets
  • Some ETL Tool experience; SSIS, Informatica, ADF
  • Some experience in the Commercial and/or Specialty insurance industry is desired
  • An understanding of financial data and concepts
  • Analytical, rigorous, with attention to detail
  • Proven SQL skills
  • Proven experience using SQL to identify and correct data issues
  • Some Database knowledge, preferably SQL Server, Synapse
  • Capable scripting/SQL skills to perform ETL, data/file validation, analysis, and profiling
  • Minimal ability to create, read, understand, and interpret Data Models
  • Code maintenance and review experience in one or more general purpose languages
  • Understanding insurance domain data models, desired
