Requirements
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, data engineering, or a comparable qualification gained through practical experience
- At least 5 years of experience in building, developing, and operating production-ready data platforms, data pipelines, or analytical systems
- Strong proficiency in at least one relevant programming language for data engineering, e.g., Python, Scala, Java, C#
- Solid experience with SQL, data modeling, and performance optimization in analytical or data-intensive systems
- Experience with modern data architectures and platforms, e.g., data lakes, data lakehouses, data warehouses, OLAP databases, or column-oriented systems
- Experience in the design and operation of batch and, ideally, streaming data pipelines
- Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, alerting, data quality, testing, schema evolution, lineage, and governance in production data platforms
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders
- Team-oriented personality with high standards for quality, analytical thinking, and a passion for building out a new area of expertise within the company
