Role Overview
As the Business Data Analyst, you will provide structured transparency and management of our data assets. You will ensure we know where our data comes from, is stored, is going and how it is being used and transformed along the way. The Business Data Analyst will enable a collaborative data environment where all stakeholders have access to the data they need, understanding, confidence and trust in the data they use and support for the data they steward.
What You Will Do
Maintain data models as well as metadata and documentation such as data glossaries and catalogs, data mappings, data lineage and data classifications. Participate in data integrations as the liaison between I.T., business data owners/stewards and subject matter experts and conduct data profiling and data discovery to support these efforts.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related program. Proficient in PL/SQL and confident working in a structured data environment. Experience working with data in a corporate environment and supporting cross-functional data governance including monitoring data quality, recommending improvements in data, data modeling, data classification and data governance capabilities.
