The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) is hiring a Temporary Financial Analyst I to perform complex financial analysis and regulatory work. The position involves compiling, reviewing, and analyzing financial data, preparing summaries, and responding to inquiries. Travel is required for up to 5% of the time. The position is located in Austin, Texas.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field
  • Regular work attendance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of State laws, rules, procedures, and regulations relevant to job requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ethics and compliance
  • Computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite, incl. Excel
  • Analytical techniques
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Statement on Standards for Forensic Services No. 1 (SSFS 1)
