Role Overview
The Marketing and Communications Assistant serves as an assistant to the Program Director of Agency Development and Community Engagement. This role will build relationships with potential and existing stakeholders through social media networks, online platforms, in-person events, print marketing, and other methods of outreach.
What You Will Do
Develop and manage social media and digital content, lead marketing and communications efforts, educate the community about foster care and adoption, create monthly and season-specific donor appeals, and develop content for key awareness months and observances.

Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging digital content.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and campaigns.
- Strong understanding of branding, audience engagement, and community outreach.
- Proficiency with Canva and common social media platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
