We are looking for a highly motivated Chemical Data Scientist to focus on computational chemistry and molecular modelling in our Chemical Artificial Intelligence group located in Sugar Land, Texas. Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Geology, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related fields with 6+ years of experience; or M.S. in Chemistry, Geology, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related fields with 8+ years of experience
- Prior experience in data integration and data engineering
- Proficiency with molecular simulation software
- Strong foundation in computational chemistry: DFT, MD, Monte Carlo
- Force field selection/parameterization; QM calculations for molecular properties
- QSAR/QSPR modeling; data analysis and visualization
- Scripting/workflow automation (Python, Perl, or Materials Studio scripting)
- Applied experience in surfactants, corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, polymers, interfacial chemistry
- Oil & gas / specialty chemicals industry background
- Publication record or strong applied modeling project portfolio
- Bonus: synthetic chemistry awareness for feasibility/scale-up and rough manufacturability signals
