We are looking for a highly motivated Chemical Data Scientist to focus on computational chemistry and molecular modelling in our Chemical Artificial Intelligence group located in Sugar Land, Texas. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Geology, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related fields with 6+ years of experience; or M.S. in Chemistry, Geology, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related fields with 8+ years of experience
  • Prior experience in data integration and data engineering
  • Proficiency with molecular simulation software
  • Strong foundation in computational chemistry: DFT, MD, Monte Carlo
  • Force field selection/parameterization; QM calculations for molecular properties
  • QSAR/QSPR modeling; data analysis and visualization
  • Scripting/workflow automation (Python, Perl, or Materials Studio scripting)
  • Applied experience in surfactants, corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, polymers, interfacial chemistry
  • Oil & gas / specialty chemicals industry background
  • Publication record or strong applied modeling project portfolio
  • Bonus: synthetic chemistry awareness for feasibility/scale-up and rough manufacturability signals
