The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is an experienced data professional who designs, develops and implements analytics tools and data solutions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business or related/relevant degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, Data Engineer, Database Developer, and/or Technical/Systems/Application Analyst
  • Expertise with business intelligence tools: Microsoft BI stack, SAP Business Objects, TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau, Crystal Reports, etc.
  • Expertise programming in SQL, Python, R, SAS or equivalent programming languages.
  • Expertise writing relational and multidimensional database queries, database object development, optimization, etc.
  • Strong experience in data warehousing design and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience operating efficiently within the Business Intelligence development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements gathering, analysis, and verification.
  • Strong experience in planning, designing, architecting, developing and supporting BI solutions.
  • Strong experience debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting BI solutions.
  • Expertise creating and deploying highly visible reports/dashboards/analytics for business use.
  • Experience leading and managing small scale data and technology projects
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior level BI developers
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take action.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Must be available for support by pager or telephone 24 hours per day x 7 days per week.
