Staff Data Engineer

CookUnity is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join their dynamic and innovative data team. The role involves designing and building net new data pipelines and systems, setting best practices and patterns for the entire data engineering org, and partnering closely with the engineering team to translate data needs into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in backend software engineering
• Proficient in Java, Scala, or Python, with deep expertise in data processing tech and in writing complex SQL queries
• Proven track record of driving innovation within highly technical, distributed teams
• Proven track record in designing, building, and operating robust distributed data platforms
• Demonstrable experience of building, productionalizing, and optimizing real-time and batch data pipelines
