Principal Data Engineer

At Early Warning, we’re looking for a Principal Data Engineer to lead our technical efforts in Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence, and software engineering. The role will involve crafting product strategy, creating technical product design and architecture, and working closely with cross-functional teams to create a collaborative working environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field
• 15+ years of experience in designing and developing complex software projects with at least 8 years in FinTech domain
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams to create technical solutions
• Effective communicator with exceptional public speaking skills
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, LEAN etc) and DevOps practices
• Proven track record designing and building complex end-to-end systems
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing using Java, J2EE, Kafka, Spring boot, Spring Core, Oracle PL/SQL, Sql Server, JavaScript, scripting frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS), Big Data (Cloudera / S3), AI/ML Model development lifecycle (feature engineering & model operationization use of industry frameworks like PyCharm / SciKit / Tensorflow), BI Reporting, Python, test automation, CI/CD pipeline implementation, modern Cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud or MS Azure)
