Software Engineer (Data Engineering & Building APIs)

Gartner is seeking a talented and passionate Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for building the foundational data and services our Products and Insights Teams. You will closely collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists and Cloud teams to expand the reach and accuracy of our Agentic and Search Solutions.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional experience in the IT industry
• Strong command of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and SOLID design principles
• Proven experience developing production-scale, customer-facing web services (Python)
• Practical experience with ETL/ELT processes and familiarity with Machine Learning Engineering (deploying and scaling models)
• Proficiency across different storage engines (Relational, Document, or Key-Value)
• Cloud expertise, specifically in AWS (Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3 etc.)
• Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
• Machine Learning or Agentic Workflows or AI-driven automation
