Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will support the finance team in the Multi-Platform Group, enabling better decision-making through data analysis and creating tools to improve operations. The role involves leveraging Excel, SQL, and AI tools to build reports, automate recurring tasks, and identify risks/opportunities. The Analyst will distribute weekly and monthly reports, track revenue pacing, and provide explanations for forecast changes and monthly close financial variances.

What You Will Do

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for building and refreshing weekly performance packages, tracking revenue pacing, and maintaining financial models to support P&L forecasting and annual budgeting. The role also involves collaborating with the accounting team, providing support during the month-end close process, and assisting with sales compensation plans and bonus calculations.

Requirements

  • 2 years of analytical experience in financial planning, operations, or any other finance-heavy division
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) with a focus on speed and efficiency
  • Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to automate recurring reporting, analyze data, and speed up deliverables
  • Experience building and maintaining recurring reports and presentations (weekly/monthly packages) in PowerPoint
  • Understanding of revenue pacing, budget, and forecast concepts; media or advertising sales experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy, with the ability to reconcile numbers across multiple sources
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work as requirements and requests change
  • Must be a self-starter, team-oriented, and critical thinker. Intellectual curiosity with a goal of continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and with diverse team members
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presenting findings to sales leadership
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and think-cell a plus
  • Familiarity with SQL (SSMS, Google BigQuery), VBA, and Tableau a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record
